The First Score (1973 – 1993): Humble Beginnings & Resilience

• Humble Start (1973): NLAG began in a small rented house with only 7 members.
• Enduring Faith: Despite repeated disruptions from natural disasters—including cyclones, fires, and floods—the congregation met faithfully under tree shade whenever buildings were destroyed.
• First Permanent Sanctuary (1986): A dedicated church building was established at Little Mount, Chennai.
• Decentralized Prayer: Around 50 prayer cells were formed across the city, driving strong organic growth.

The Second Score (1993 – 2013): Cell Model & Expansion

• Cell-Based Discipleship: Adopted a small-group model—believers gathered in home cells during the week and united for weekend services.
• Facility Expansion (1994): The main Little Mount building was extended to host multiple services across the weekend.
• Empowered Laity: Centered on the "priesthood of all believers," equipping home cell members directly for leadership and outreach.
• Global Gathering (2011): Successfully hosted the World AG Conference in Chennai, serving church delegates from 74 nations.
